We work in partnership with multi agencies including Birmingham Early Years, OFSTED and an extended service co-ordinator for the local area improving the outcomes for children and young people
All our staff are qualified experienced and have full CRB checks.
Before school we offer a selection of healthy breakfasts with stimulating activities to prepare each child for the day ahead. After school we provide more healthy snack options to include fruit and a drink. Other activities available are homework clubs, arts & crafts, dance, reading clubs, cultural activities, sports including a soccer academy run by qualified level 2 F.A coaches. There are educational work shops for parents on healthy eating, exercise for children, and information and support on applying for the child care element of working family tax credit.
To work along side schools in fulfilling the Extended Services ‘Core Offer’ that all schools should provide extended services, which allow access to childcare and a variety of activities beyond the school day, from 8.00 am to 6.00 pm, 5 days a week, 48 weeks of the year by 2010.
Schools have a place right at the heart of the local community and are well placed in making Every Child Matters a reality for children, young people and their families. By offering a varied range of extended services which are central to every schools improvement strategy, we will work together to build a school system to ensure every child can achieve his or her full potential.
Therefore we are dedicated in delivering the five outcomes of Every Child Matters as detailed in the Children’s Act 2004 ensuring children:
- Be healthy
- Stay safe
- Enjoy and achieve
- Make a positive contribution
- Achieve economic well being.
To ensure the delivery of these outcomes for children and young people, our services and activities are centred around these core values and standards. Breakfast clubs, after school clubs and holiday play schemes all offer opportunities for children to pursue wider interests, develop new skills and access extra help, where needed. As a third party independent provider, we are experienced in delivering activities and childcare, and are well placed to work quickly through technical issues, such as business planning and costing the services appropriately.
